Shipping Policy

Orders will be dispatched from The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd in Ringwood, Victoria, 3134 (Trading as The Budgie Smuggler and Budgie Bar). Orders will leave our bar within 1-3 business days (excl. public holidays) from date of purchase and in most cases, delivery should be made within 2-15 working days from the shipping confirmation notice (we cannot offer guarantees as it depends on our third-party couriers). These estimates may push out a little during peak times, but rest assured, we're trying to get everything to you as soon as we can.

The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver by any requested or agreed date, however it does not guarantee delivery on that date and is not liable for any loss resulting from late delivery.

The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd aim to ship each order accurately however if there’s any issues with your order please contact us at: orders@thebudgiesmuggler.com. Deliveries via DHL Express cannot be made to PO boxes. Orders addressed to a PO Box will be shipped via AusPost. In the instance the recipient has provided incorrect or out-of-date delivery details, The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd is not liable for any re-postage fees and return to sender fees.

If an order is unclaimed and returned back to sender a further payment may have to be made by the customer for that order to be resent to the customer. 

It is the customers responsibility that all forms are filled out correctly. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will not be liable for any errors, or loss occurred by customer errors. Product/goods will NOT be delivered to persons under the age of 18 years. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd may request that the person who receives the goods provide satisfactory evidence of proof of age and reserves the right to refuse delivery to anyone who does not show proof of age or is intoxicated.

 


 

Local Pick Up / Click & Collect

The Budgie Smuggler offers Local Pick Up / Click & Collect for any customer that would like to come past our bar and pick up their order. The pick up times are 1pm-4pm from Monday-Friday (excl. public holidays) from our bar in Ringwood. Once your order is ready to pick up, you will receive a second notification letting you know your cocktails are ready to collect and any necessary further details. The Budgie Smuggler aims to have Local Pick Up / Click & Collect orders ready for collection within 1-2 business days – subject to circumstance.

Please note: Your cocktails are made to order on the day your order is ready to collect. The Budgie Smuggler is not responsible for any cocktails that may be approaching their best before date due to delays in collection by the customer.

Local Delivery

The Budgie Smuggler offers a Local Delivery service for $14.95 for those that live within 10kms of the bar in Ringwood, 3134. If you are within that range, the delivery option will appear during the checkout process. If order before 1pm Monday-Friday (excl. public holidays) for same-day hand delivery* by our own Budgie drivers.

Please note: Same-day delivery will be made on most occasions – subject to circumstance.

Domestic Shipping 

The Budgie Smuggler offers delivery services from both AusPost (Parcel Post & Express Post) and DHL Express on orders shipping to addresses in Australia.

Shipping prices are tiered based on weight.

For AusPost Parcel Post shipping, we estimate anywhere between 5–15 business days for delivery. For AusPost Express Post, we estimate anywhere between 2–10 business days for delivery. For DHL Express, we estimate anywhere between 1–5 business days for delivery. We can’t guarantee any delivery dates or times so we suggest you give yourself plenty of time if you have an event or special occasion coming up.

Free Shipping via AusPost

The Budgie Smuggler offers free shipping for orders over $100* via our delivery partners AusPost (8+ cocktails). This is a Parcel Post service.

For this promotion to apply, orders also need to fall under 5kgs (8-17 cocktails) – orders above 5kgs will incur shipping fees. Cocktail quantities are rough estimates.

This promotion does NOT include Local Delivery. Orders will be sent using AusPost and will receive a shipping confirmation as well as a tracking number upon dispatch from our bar.

Next Business Day Dispatch 

The Budgie Smuggler offers a special front of queue shipping service for those that need something dispatched as soon as possible. When an order is placed using this method it pushes their order to the front of the packing order and will be dispatched via DHL Express same-day or guaranteed next-business-day (excluding public holidays). This offer applies for orders under 5kgs only.

International Shipping

For international shipping, The Budgie Smuggler offers an express service from our delivery partners DHL Express.

Shipping prices are tiered based on weight.

We we estimate anywhere between 5–15 business days for delivery. We can’t guarantee any delivery dates or times so we suggest you give yourself plenty of time if you have an event coming up. 

 


 

Returns Policy

Our returns policy lasts 14 days on non-consumable products. If you wish to return a non-consumable product you must contact The Budgie Smuggler within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on consumable products. Cost of shipping for any non-consumable returned items will be at the expense of the customer. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will not pay for any shipping costs in regards to returns.

 


 

Refunds Policy

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd if a product has not been delivered. All failed deliveries should be notified to orders@thebudgiesmuggler.com and The Budgie Smuggler will investigate and take necessary action to amend the issue. The Budgie Smuggler will not be held accountable for any issues regarding late deliveries. Any suggested delivery times are purely an estimation and should not be held against The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd.

In the rare case of a damaged product, images of the damaged product should be sent to orders@thebudgiesmuggler.com and the product sent back to us. We will investigate the cause of the damage and when determined the right to do so, we will refund the amount for the damaged goods to the account used to purchase the product. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will endeavour to ensure a customer is compensated if a delivery has arrived damaged/ broken.
