The classic cocktail recipe dates back to the ‘80s but of course – it wasn't really the Cosmopolitan until that one show with Carrie and the Gals hit our screens in the mid-'90s. That series single-handedly made the Cosmo the drink of choice in every bar in the U.S and most of the world. Vodka, cranberry, orange liqueur and lime juice, yes, please… 

Serving Suggestions:
Shake it up! Cocktail shaker for about 12-15 seconds and strain into a coupe. Grab a lime and garnish it how you please, twist, slice or throw the whole thing in there (don't actually do that please)

Our Cosmo Cocktail Contains:
Vodka, Cranberry, Lime, Orange Liqueur

All of our cocktails are hand-poured and made-to-order with only the freshest ingredients. We suggest you enjoy this cocktail within a month of receiving it – be sure to check the Drink Before recommendation on the back of the bottle.

How far in advance can I order?

The Budgie Smuggler Store is designed for same day order, packing and sending for every business day. The Budgie Smuggler online store aims to send orders within 3 business days following order confirmation with shipping and delivery times varying on order location and delivery preferences on business days. If you enter a preferred date on your delivery instructions the packing team will make an educated decision on when is best to ship it out to meet your request. However, no delivery date/time is guaranteed.

Is there a minimum order amount for home delivery?

There is no minimum order on our online store. You can order 1 to 48 cocktails at any time with the maximum being 48 cocktails per person, per transaction, per day.

Can I place an order over the phone/via email?

We recommend placing your order through our online store to assist us and ensure a seamless ordering process. If necessary, you can order via phone/email with our contact details being found on our contact page.

Do you have any specials or discount codes?

We have rotating specials available most weeks, if you sign up to our mailing list you will be first to hear about any specials or discount codes that come out!

My discount code isn't working? Help.

Unfortunately, Shopify doesn't allow customers to stack discount codes and offers. So you'll have to make sure you're using the one you'll get the most value from. 




How much does shipping cost?

Shipping starts at a flat rate of $19.95 for DHL Express. We also offer local delivery $14.95 for those within 15kms of 3134 and there is international delivery available starting at a rate of $29.95. I need my order urgently, what should I do?

All orders are sent using express shipping - but if you need your order today & you live in Victoria, you’re more the welcome to pick up from Ringwood VIC 3134. We offer e-gift cards for any of those super last minute gifts if you need one. Otherwise, if you're really stuck, shoot us an email and we'll try to work something out.

Why is shipping so expensive?

We use express shipping exclusively because we want to get your cocktails to you as soon as possible. All of our cocktails are made to order and some contain only the freshest ingredients – so the sooner they get to you the better they'll taste!

My delivery has taken longer than expected, where is it?

Deliveries are handled by our delivery partners, DHL, with tracking provided for each order. For more rural/remote suburbs, DHL will use other couriers to expand their serviceable area. We recommend you contact them directly via the tracking details in your shipping confirmation to get a real time update on your delivery. 

What happens if I am not home when the delivery arrives?

We will deliver using reasonable endeavours, to the address nominated by you. All deliveries aim to be delivered to a person and where possible should not be left unattended due to it being an alcoholic product, however we understand this may not always be the case. If your nominated delivery address is an apartment, unit or other secured building you must provide the access code, instructions or other means to enter.

My package is damaged, can I get a replacement?

Please contact us via: with photos of the damage, we will investigate the issue and amend where possible.

Can I return an order?

This can be arranged in certain instances of product faults or incorrect products. As this is a consumable product, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Please contact us at: to discuss details regarding returns.

My order is late, what do I do?

If your order is already on its way and has left our warehouse, there isn't much more we can do. We recommend contacting the courier service customer service line directly with the tracking number you would have been provided. Unfortunately, due to the cocktails being a consumable product, we can't offer refunds on late orders.



Proof of Age

Do I need to show my ID?

The Budgie Smuggler does not supply liquor to minors. An age gate is present on our site and all orders will require identification to be shown upon delivery by the recipient, even if this person is not the one who placed the order, where necessary.

Flavours, Shakers and Shelf-life

Once received, how long do I have to drink my cocktails?

Our cocktails have varying shelf-lifes, generally from 1 to 3 months. The ones you receive will have a 'Best Before' guide on the rear label. We always recommend you consume your drinks within a week of you receiving your order to ensure the best possible taste. The Budgie Smuggler prides themselves on quality cocktails, drinks and products and hence recommend consuming products as soon as possible to fully experience the deliciousness The Budgie Smuggler offers.

Do I need to refrigerate my cocktails?

We highly recommend refrigeration of cocktails. Quality and longevity of cocktails improve greatly with refrigeration. We recommend when consuming to have the cocktails as cold as possible.

Once opened, should they be consumed immediately?

We recommend consumption immediately after opening the product – or, we suggest enjoying it within a day or 2 at the latest.

Do I need a cocktail shaker?

All our cocktails have serving suggestions on our site. Many of our cocktails are designed to be shaken with ice however we understand not everyone has access to a cocktails shaker. Feel free to explore options with shaking the cocktail (protein shakers work great) otherwise we recommend serving as cold as possible and serving over ice.

How do I choose - they all sound amazing?!

Best way to go about what cocktail you might like is what do you usually drink? This is the question all our bartenders love to ask! Is it vodka? Gin? Rum? Whiskey? Tequila? Shipping Policy

Orders will be dispatched from The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd in Ringwood, Victoria, 3134 (Trading as The Budgie Smuggler and Budgie Bar). Orders will leave our bar within 1-3 business days (excl. public holidays) from date of purchase and in most cases, delivery should be made within 2-15 working days from the dispatch confirmation notice (we cannot offer guarantees as it depends on third-party couriers). These estimates may push out a little during peak times, but rest assured, we're trying to get everything to you as soon as we can.

The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver by any requested or agreed date, however it does not guarantee delivery on that date and is not liable for any loss resulting from late delivery.

The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd aim to ship each order accurately however if there’s any issues with your order please contact us at: Deliveries via DHL Express cannot be made to PO boxes. Orders addressed to a PO Box will be shipped via AusPost. In the instance the recipient has provided incorrect or out-of-date delivery details, The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd is not liable for any re-postage fees and return to sender fees.

If an order is unclaimed and returned back to sender a further payment may have to be made by the customer for that order to be resent to the customer. 

It is the customers responsibility that all forms are filled out correctly. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will not be liable for any errors, or loss occurred by customer errors. Product/goods will NOT be delivered to persons under the age of 18 years. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd may request that the person who receives the goods provide satisfactory evidence of proof of age and reserves the right to refuse delivery to anyone who does not show proof of age or is intoxicated.



Local Pick Up / Click & Collect

The Budgie Smuggler offers Local Pick Up / Click & Collect for any customer that would like to come past our bar and pick up their order. The pick up times are 11am-5pm from Monday-Thursday & 12pm-10pm Friday & Saturday (excl. public holidays) from our bar in Ringwood. Once your order is ready to pick up, you will receive a second notification letting you know your cocktails are ready to collect and any necessary further details. The Budgie Smuggler aims to have Local Pick Up / Click & Collect orders ready for collection within 1-2 business days – subject to circumstance.

Please note: Your cocktails are made to order on the day your order is ready to collect. The Budgie Smuggler is not responsible for any cocktails that may be approaching their best before date due to delays in collection by the customer.

Local Delivery

The Budgie Smuggler offers a Local Delivery service for $14.95 for those that live within 10kms of the bar in Ringwood, 3134. If your delivery address is within that range, the delivery option will automatically appear during the checkout process. Orders placed before 1pm Monday-Friday (excl. public holidays) are eligible for same-day hand delivery* by our own Budgie drivers.

Please note: Same-day delivery will be made on most occasions – subject to circumstance.

Domestic Shipping

The Budgie Smuggler offers delivery services from both AusPost (Parcel Post & Express Post) and DHL Express on orders shipping to addresses in Australia.

Shipping prices are tiered based on weight.

For AusPost Parcel Post shipping, we estimate anywhere between 5–15 business days for delivery. For AusPost Express Post, we estimate anywhere between 2–10 business days for delivery. For DHL Express, we estimate anywhere between 1–5 business days for delivery. We can’t guarantee any delivery dates or times so we suggest you give yourself plenty of time if you have an event or special occasion coming up.

Free Shipping via AusPost

The Budgie Smuggler offers free shipping for orders over $100* via our delivery partners AusPost (8+ cocktails). This is a Parcel Post service.

* - For this promotion to apply, orders also need to fall under 5kgs (8-17 cocktails) – orders above 5kgs will incur shipping fees. Cocktail quantities are rough estimates.

This promotion does NOT include Local Delivery. Orders will be sent using AusPost and will receive a shipping confirmation as well as a tracking number upon dispatch from our bar.

Next Business Day Dispatch 

The Budgie Smuggler offers a special front of queue shipping service for those that need something dispatched as soon as possible. When an order is placed using this method it pushes their order to the front of the packing order and will be dispatched via DHL Express same-day or guaranteed next-business-day (excluding public holidays). This offer applies for orders under 5kgs only and does not mean next-day or same-day delivery.

International Shipping

For international shipping, The Budgie Smuggler offers an express service from our delivery partners DHL Express.

We we estimate anywhere between 5–15 business days for delivery. We can’t guarantee any delivery dates or times so we suggest you give yourself plenty of time if you have an event coming up. 



Bulk Ordering
(more than one address per transaction)

The Budgie Smuggler can facilitate orders for multiple addresses within a single transaction - ideal for corporate events and workplace gifting. Shipping cost is required and calculated per address an addition to a processing fee that applies to the order total. A rushed order fee may apply to orders that require dispatch within a number business days. Retail discounts and promotions do not apply to bulk orders. Email to organise a bulk order.



Returns Policy

Our returns policy lasts 14 days on non-consumable products. If you wish to return a non-consumable product you must contact The Budgie Smuggler within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on consumable products. Cost of shipping for any non-consumable returned items will be at the expense of the customer. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will not pay for any shipping costs in regards to returns.



Refunds Policy

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd if a product has not been delivered. All failed deliveries should be notified to and The Budgie Smuggler will investigate and take necessary action to amend the issue. The Budgie Smuggler will not be held accountable for any issues regarding late deliveries. Any suggested delivery times are purely an estimation and should not be held against The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd.

In the rare case of a damaged product, images of the damaged product should be sent to and the product sent back to us. We will investigate the cause of the damage and when determined the right to do so, we will refund the amount for the damaged goods to the account used to purchase the product. The Budgie Smuggler Pty Ltd will endeavour to ensure a customer is compensated if a delivery has arrived damaged/ broken.
